Fearne hosts the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards

31st October 2012

Fearne dazzled as the host of the glittering Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards, now in its seventh year, which celebrates the achievements of truly inspirational women and men from all walks of life – including celebrities and real life people.

Prior to the event, Fearne tweeted “Off to #theCosmos. Looking forward to hosting it again this year! Each year I'm knocked for 6 by the amazing women and their stories! Being pregnant I'm also extra emotional at the moment so possible tears on stage #emo.”

The red carpet was heaving with A listers at the event , including Nicole Scherzinger, who dazzled in a backless white dress and took home the Ultimate Fun Fearless Female, and X Factor rival Judge Tulisa Contostavlos, who nabbed Ultimate TV Personality. Kelly Osbourne looked bloomin’ marvellous in a floral number, winning Ultimate Style Icon with VO5, and Cosmo celebrated Team GB’s sporting achievements with Jessica Ennis and Sarah Storey winning gold for Ultimate Olympian and Ultimate Paralympian.

Fearne had no less than TWO outfit changes in her role as host – why let a little thing like a baby bump get in the way of fashion? – starting the night off in a bohemian floral and lace gown and ending in a sharp monochrome number. She matched both outfits with sky high teal diamond print heels, but paid the price later – tweeting a pic of her poor sore feet soaking in ice and the words “The Cosmos were as inspiring and magical as ever. Loved hosting it again! Feet now so swollen! #icebucket.”

Swollen feet or not, the night was a huge success for Fearne, least of all because she managed to tick one more thing off the bucket list: “My dress needed an iron so I ticked 'being naked in the V&A' off the life list!”

The bare cheek of it!
