The first blog of 2013!

15th January 2013

I hope you're all having a lovely 2013 so far. My start to the year has been very different to the usual crash back to work as I get ready and try to get organised before our baby is born. Obviously being pregnant means I'm not one of those poor people subjecting themselves to some sort of detox.

Instead I'm making lots of yummy treats that are healthier options. Here's some chocolate coconut balls that are wheat, dairy and sugar free. I had practically eaten four before they made it out the oven!

Also some healthy coconut bread that is so delicious and a nice variation to normal bread.

I'm running out of outfits at this point but love this Very jumper from my collection so much I've been squeezing into it still.

I'm about to embark on designing and sketching my spring summer 2014 collection which is frightening but really exciting as I’ll be back in normal clothes by then. I’m looking forward to some bright fun ideas hopefully springing to mind…

I've been reading some great books this month too, starting with Rita Marley’s autobiography which is amazing! I love Bob Marley a lot and thought I knew a fair bit but this book tells so much more!

I’m also now reading Erin Kelly's book The Sick Rose. I loved The Poison Tree so much and this one is turning out to be awesome too.

If you like documentaries check out The Imposter. It's the most insane story and I haven’t stopped thinking about it all since!

Wrap up if you're out in the snow and enjoy the rest of your January!

Love and Peace

  • Hi Fearne missing you on radio one! Glad you're enjoying a rest I loved that before I had my first son, napping when you like. Loved baking too! If you want some good books to read, you should really get hold of Paula Yates autobiography which is the best I've ever read. Also India Knights books are fab - especially one called The Shops which I expect you'll love. Also get a phial of Arnica homeopathic pills to take after labour, they are brilliant and stop the bruising they were a god send after my c section. Remember there's nothing better than a cup of tea, slice of cake(homemade preferably) a good film and a cat asleep on your bump! Koren xxx
